On Thursday, 23^rd March 2023, the ATH Welcome Point organized a Thematic Event: a 4-hour filmmaking workshop. The venue was ATH Science Point, at the Gemini Park Shopping Centre, in Bielsko-Biała. Besides visiting an interesting and inspiring exhibition of the Science Point (currently, they still host three exhibitions under a common title: “To see. To touch. To understand.”: “Machines of Leonardo da Vinci”, “A mind caught” and “Colours”), the participants of the event had a chance to acquaint themselves with a specific job in front of a camera and took part in the process of making a Welcome Point promotional movie. The students also filled the script with their own ideas during the workshop. Here are some of the texts:

ENG The Welcome Point is a comfortable place where you can find help, meet new people, make friends and share ideas. The Welcome Point is a place where you feel safe and can get information about everything you need.  The Welcome Point is a place where you feel it is your second home in Bielsko-Biała. The Welcome Point creates a bridge between Polish and international students.

UKR Welcome Point корисний для студентів, які не знайомі з університетом. Це місце, де ми можем знайти нові знайоміства та пізнати польську культуру. Welcome Point це місце, де ми почуємо себе як вдома. Welcome Point проводить закордонним студентом екскурсії по місту та поза його межами. Bielsko-Biała, це невелике місто, де ти можеш насолодитись природою, гуляти по горам та почати свою подорож по Європі.

According to dr. Agnieszka Będkowska-Kopczyk, the coordinator of the Welcome Point project, ATH  international students showed a wide range of abilities that enabled them to deliver memorable performances during the video shooting. They could fully focus on the text and be natural in front of the camera. We cannot wait for the promotional movie!
